How we protect your data.

Z13 Astrology ("Z13", "we", "us", and also "Arjay") is built to be a calm, respectful place to explore astrology, and definitely not a data-harvesting machine. We collect the minimum information required to make the site work, and we don't sell your data. Ever.

What information we collect

1) Account information (if you register)

If you create an account, we store:

• Your email address

This is used only for authentication (via magic link sent through email), account access, and an optional subscription to our free weekly newsletter.

2) Birth chart data

If you save charts, we store the information you provide, such as:

• Birth date
• Birth time (if known)
• Birth location (if provided)

This data exists solely to calculate charts and daily insights for you. We do not sell or share this data with third parties. Ever!

3) Usage & analytics

We use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited and which features are most used.

We do not:

• Track you across the web
• Use invasive fingerprinting
• Sell analytics data

Analytics software is entirely hosted on our own servers. Analytics help us improve the experience, not profile you.

4) Emails

We send emails only for:

• Account-related messages (authentication, account verification, etc.)
• Newsletter mailouts (which you can opt out of)
• Important service updates

Data storage & security

• All data is stored securely
• Sensitive tokens are time-limited and single-use
• Access is restricted to essential systems only

While no system is perfectly immune to risk, we take reasonable and modern precautions to protect your data.

Account deletion

You are always in control. If you delete your account:

• Your user record is permanently removed
• All saved charts are deleted
• All sessions and tokens are invalidated

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted services to operate Z13, such as hosting infrastructure and email delivery. As much as possible, we work with any third-party services that are outside US jurisdiction, so it is safe from US data-collection laws, including the USA PATRIOT Act and the CLOUD Act.

Data storage: data is stored on servers in Canada and the EU working with companies that are outside of US jurisdiction.

Email: email services may include US based services for relaying emails.

These services are used strictly to provide functionality, not to monetize your data.

Children's privacy

Z13 is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and communicate clearly within the website.
